Holiday Open House

Saturday, December 09: 9:00 AM - 2:00 PM

We invite the community for a chance to get to know their local State Park during our annual Holiday Open House.

Start the day with a wonderful Intro to Yoga class, lead by our longtime instructor, Sudhanshu Semwal. Then stay for a variety of activities, from 10am-2pm, that will have you learning about the many recreation opportunities at you acquaint yourself with the park, learning Colorado Parks & Wildlife's mission of conservation & stewardship.

Be surprised by the animal adaptations of native park residents and how they're built to thrive at CMSP during the winter months. Learn fire safety while roasting marshmallows over the open campfire. Hear from a volunteer the progress they have made towards reaching the Top of the Mountain. Let the kids create pine cone crafts, get their face painted and visit with Santa! Enjoy hot chocolate and special treats throughout your stay.

In our gift shop, you'll find clothing, books, toys and other great gift items that will be on sale using a special drawing for your discount - ranging from 20%-50% off with an option for special prizes to be drawn as well. Gift certificates are also available.

This event & activities are free. No Park Pass required fro guests parking at the Visitor Center during this event! All other locations in the park still require a State Park Pass ($7 Daily or $70 Annual)
