Introduction to Fly Fishing

Monday, June 04: 6:00 PM - 9:00 PM

Have you wanted to try fly fishing but didn't know where to start? Worried about walking into a big fly shop and getting just what you need? Then this clinic is for you. This is a basic fly fishing class that will teach you everything you need to get started in fly fishing.

This class will cover flies, rods and reels, leaders, tippet, basic casting and best of all, time fishing.  This is a hands-on class that will have you tying knots and casting quickly.  We will finish the class with time on the water actually fishing.  You will get to put your new skills to practice and receive immediate feedback from instructors.  All equipment will be provided or bring that new fly rod you got for Christmas and we will help you set it up.

Class will start promptly at 6.  Please be respectful of others and leave with enough time to get there.  This is a beginner class so no experience is necessary.

Audience: All Ages

The class will be held at a private pond near Chatfield State Park
