About 'Partners in the Outdoors'

The Partners in the Outdoors program brings together diverse interests from across the entire spectrum of the outdoors to advance and balance both outdoor recreation and conservation in Colorado.

Partners in the Outdoors Conference

The 2019 Conference will occur April 24-26, 2019 at the Beaver Run Resort in Breckenridge.

“SHIFT from Planning to Action”

The 2019 Partners in the Outdoors Conference poses the question “How can we work together to implement the Statewide Comprehensive and Outdoor Recreation Plan (SCORP)?” Based on the Colorado Outdoor Principles (the SHIFT Principles), and after months of collaborative work across the state from hundreds of partners, stakeholders and citizens, Colorado has drafted one of the finest five-year SCORPs in the nation.

How might we turn this plan into action that will make a difference for Colorado’s future? How might we continue to collaborate, shifting from a successful planning process to on-the-ground implementation? How will you as an organization take action for the areas of the SCORP that align with your mission?

During this year’s conference, you’ll make the appropriate connections and gain tools, skills, and tactics to mobilize strategies that will make meaningful impact on the evolution of conservation and recreation in Colorado. By engaging with the Colorado Outdoor Principles, enacting the SCORP, and building partnerships, together we’ll lead Colorado into the next decade. Join the conversation as we SHIFT from Planning to Action!

Look for updated conference information to be posted later this fall.
