Join Women Afield and Develop Your Shooting, Hunting, and Fishing Skills
The Women Afield Program is dedicated to teaching basic skills in hunting, shooting sports and angling to women. The program is designed to allow women to learn with other women in a comfortable environment. We offer seminars and clinics designed to teach basic skills in the classroom, range or out in the field. The seminars are designed to provide “hands on” experience. Clinics or seminars are typically held during the summer to prepare women for hunting and fishing opportunities each fall.
Mentored Hunting Opportunities
Each year, Colorado Parks & Wildlife organizes hunts for a wide range of participants on both state and regional levels. Mentored small game and big game hunting events are sponsored by the Women Afield program and/or our participating partners. To participate, you must be a Colorado resident.

Big Game, Small Game and Waterfowl Hunts: For Women Age 18 or Older
Colorado Parks and Wildlife's Hunter Outreach Program offers special women hunts throughout Colorado. These hunts are designed to recruit and encourage novice women to participate in several Colorado hunting activities. Our intent is to provide a good educational foundation for those novices who do not have family or friends who can serve as mentors.
The 2017 women afield hunt application period is now CLOSED. Please check back in 2018.
