The Bureau of Land Management (BLM) completed a comprehensive
Environmental Impact Statement and signed a Record of Decision in November 2011.
In BLM's approval, significant mitigation measures are required to ensure
protection of flora, fauna, land resources, public safety and recreational access.
Christo pulled the Over The River installation in early 2017 to focus on international projects.
