There’s so much to see and enjoy. ​Summers are busy and action packed while off-peak times are quiet and laid back. Anchored around a 880 surface acre reservoir, the park offers a natural prairie environment of gentle, rolling hills and complete outdoor recreation facilities, including camping, picnicking and facilities for group events.


All OTC & OTC w/Caps will go on sale August 7th, 2018. To purchase a license, go to CPW Hunting License, OR call 1-800-244-5613 OR In-person at any Authorized Sales Agent, CPW Office or State Park.​

Customers who are planning to purchase a license in-person at Cherry Creek MUST bring:

  1. ​​Driver’s License or Verifiable State Issued Identification Card;
  2. Proof of Hunter Education: hunter education card or CO hunting license with verified hunter education;
  3. Social Security Number (anyone 12 or older, if not already on file);
  4. His/her Customer Identification Number (CID), if he/she has purchased a Colorado license previously;
  5. A prioritized list of hunt codes for licenses he/she is interested in;
  6. Proof of Residency, if individual is purchasing a “Resident” license.​

​​​​COLORADO DAY - AUGUST 6th, 2018​

In celebration of the State of Colorado's birthday, all Colorado State Parks entrance is free, on August 6th, 2018.


Colorado Parks and Wildlife is offering free park entrance to active-duty military personnel and veterans in August. You must provide proof of service. 

The Park Office is the only location at Cherry Creek, to obtain the pass. Office hours are 9 am to 5 pm, Monday -Friday. 

Lake Boating Hours

  • ​East and West boat ramps are open, 6 am to 10 pm daily. 
  • West boat ramp is closed on Wednesdays.​

Unique activities
