All types of boating are popular on this large reservoir including: Kayaking, canoeing, sailing and motor boating. Water-body contact activities including scuba diving, water-skiing, wading (without waders), swimming, etc., are prohibited.
Eleven Mile Reservoir is only open to boating following ice off in the spring through October 31st each year. It is closed to boating November 1st until ice-off the following Spring. This closure encompasses all vessels including canoes, kayaks and any other hand carried vessels. ***From November 1st until the reservoir ices over, the park permits fishing aids (belly boats) that are powered by FINS ONLY (no oars, motors or sails) to access the water.
