Swimming is only allowed at the Rock Canyon Swim Beach which is now CLOSED for the off season. We do not have a reopen date at this time. We will update as construction progresses.
When open the hours are 11 am to 6 pm, Thursdays through Mondays (closed Tuesdays and Wednesdays). There is no extra fee for the beach, but a park pass is required on every vehicle that enters the park.
In addition to swimming, the area provides a sandy beach area, picnic tables, shaded areas, charcoal grills and restroom facilities. We also have vending machines for snacks and stand-up paddleboard rentals. Bring the whole family and spend the day at the beach!
Please note: Pets are not allowed in the swim beach compound. It is not safe to leave pets in a hot car, so plan to leave your pets at home when visiting the beach. Glass is also not permitted at the beach. Gas grills are not allowed in the beach compound, but bring your charcoal for the grills that are provided. No fishing.
More on Swimming Rules...
Swimming is NOT allowed in the reservoir. Cliff-diving is also strictly prohibited and extremely dangerous.
Wading is permitted in the reservoir. A good way to know that you are wading: your feet are always touching the ground. You are walking around the water, not propelling yourself with your arms.
