The Mosca Campground C-Loop will be open until October 31, 2016.
Campground is located in the low dunes west of San Luis Lake. View San Luis State
Park Map for location. The 51 campsites feature a panoramic view of the
lake, the surrounding mountains and the Great Sand Dunes. All sites have
electrical hookups, sheltered tables, and fire grills. A dump
station is also available on site.
Campsites can accommodate motor homes and trailers, and some sites will hold
tents. The best campsites for tents are 2, 4, 7, 25, 27, 33, 37, 38, 39, 42, and
Campsites are $24.00 a night for regular campers and $21.00 per night Sunday
through Thursday for Aspen Leaf Pass Holders. Sites are available on a first
come, first serve basis until October 31, 2016. In
addition to the camping fee, a daily park pass or an annual state parks pass
is required on each vehicle. Camping permits and daily park passes are available
at the entrance station or self-service station. Camping is
allowed in designated campsites only.

The wetland environment of the park draws an abundance of wildlife, but also
provides a breeding ground for biting insects. Visitors should wear bug spray
during the warmer months.
