Boating Update

Due to decreased funding the boat ramp will be open for motorized boating only on a limited basis.  We are open to your comments. We appreciate all the support of our park visitors.​

APRIL
Boat ramp closed Monday thru Friday, hand launch only.
 
MAY thru SEPTEMBER
Boat ramp closed Monday thru Wednesday, hand launch only

Saturday & Sunday – 7am to 3pm and by appointment

Thursday thru Sunday – ​7am to 7pm and by appointment​​

​​​​Channel catfish, smallmouth and largemouth bass, rainbow trout, walleye, bluegill, wiper and tiger muskie are among the species Colorado Parks and Wildlife has stocked at Barr Lake.  Rainbow trout were stocked in the lake in March, April, and May. Fishing is allowed from the shore or from a boat on the north side of the lake. No fishing is allowed in the wildlife refuge and on the Barr Lake dam. CPW fishing regulations also apply.
