Join Colorado Parks and Wildlife for Bike Your Park Day on Sept. 30. 

​This national event encourages cyclists to explore and discover their nearby parks and public lands. Several Colorado state parks are holding official Bike Your Park day events. Check below to find one near you.

You can also search a nationwide interactive map to find and join an event, or create one of your own! A custom ride is easy to plan using the Colorado Trail Explorer​, COTREX, a trail map that aims to map every trail in the state of Colorado.​

Cherry Creek- Bike Your Park Day

If you’ve ever wanted to explore Cherry Creek State Park on two wheels, this is your chance! Cherry Creek State Park is inviting the public to join a Bike Your Park Day ride on Sept. 30. Bike Your Park Day is a national event that encourages people to explore nearby parks and public lands by bicycle on the same day.

St. Vrain- Bike your Park Day

Explore St. Vrain State Park by bicycle with Two Brothers Bicycles on Bike Your Park Day, September 30, 2017 at 9 am. We're organizing a ride and welcome beginner and family oriented bicyclists. We'll start at Blue Heron parking area and ride at least 2 miles on trail around Blue Heron reservoir.

Arkansas Headwaters Recreation Area - Bike Your Park Day

Enjoy an early fall bike ride at the top of the Rockies. AHRA is sponsoring a 5-mile round trip guided ride of newly founded Stage and Rail Trail Section 7, from Hayden Meadows Recreation Site to the Arkansas River Ranch (Kobe area). The Trail is totally unpaved –mostly double and single track dirt. Mountain or Cross bike required ( non motorized). Advanced Beginner Level ride, appropriate for ages 8+. AHRA will have a representative to assist with the event and volunteer Alan Robinson will lead the bike tour and discuss the past, present and future of the Stage & Rail trail.

Celebrate Bike Your Park Day 2017 at Lory State Park September 30, 2017 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Celebrate National Public Lands Day and Bike Your Park Day at Lory State Park with a day of outdoor fun! Activities are free of charge with a valid state park pass. Bring friends, family and your bike, helmet and water bottle to Lory State Park and enjoy: -An expo-style bike event -“Ride with Your Ranger”: Register for a ranger-led bike ride from 10:00 am to noon, or from 1 pm to 3:00 pm. Each ride is 4.1-miles long. Level: Easy Limited to 20 participants per ride. Bring your bike, helmet and water bottle. Call the Visitor Center at 970-493-1623 to register. -Lory Bike Skills Park Project: The Friends of Lory State Park will present plans for a fully-remodeled bike skills park, a project to revitalize this regional mountain bike skills training park for youth and adults at Lory.

Lake Pueblo- Bike Your Park Day

We will be partnering with a local cycling club for the Bike Your Park Day. It will be hosted by the Steel City Cycling Club. They will be facilitating the entire event. We will meet down river at our neighbor's: The Nature and Raptor Center of Pueblo. From there visitors will ride into the park and have a meet-up at Anticline Poind.

Join our Interpretive Ranger Zach Herring for a pedal powered tour of Chatfield! View Chatfield from a different perspective as we celebrate State Parks on bicycles. Meet at the Heronry parking lot.

Come celebrate Bike Your Park Day at Lory State Park, September 30th by signing up for a “Ride with Your Ranger” bike ride. Each ride is 4.1 miles in length. The first ride will leave the Soldier Picnic area at 10:00 am. and return at noon. The second ride will start at the Soldier Picnic area at 1:00 pm and finish at 3:00 pm. These special bike trips with your ranger are appropriate for all ability levels and include rest stops that highlight Lory’s geology, history, and spectacular wildlife. Each ride is limited to 20 participants. Bring your own bike, helmet, and water bottle. Call the Visitor Center at 970-493-1623 to sign-up.
