Zip over to a Colorado State Park with Zipcar

DENVER, Colo. -- With a continuing mission of helping people connect to Colorado’s outdoors and live life outside, Colorado Parks and Wildlife has partnered with Zipcar to include State Park passes in vehicles located in the Denver and Boulder metro areas.

Forty Zipcars in the area have been outfitted with parks passes, allowing Zipcar members access to all 41 state parks across Colorado. The free passes enable Zipcar members to explore our parks at no additional charge as part of their Zipcar rental, providing the opportunity to easily and conveniently explore hiking trails, beaches, kayaking and more.

With vehicles ranging from Subaru Crosstreks and Honda CR-Vs to Toyota Corollas included in the program, parks pass-equipped Zipcars are available to suit nearly any outdoor adventure.

“Adding state park passes into Zipcars lets people take advantage of some of Colorado’s greatest landscapes, and the world-class recreation opportunities that are found in our parks,” said CPW marketing specialist Debbie Lininger. “In less than two hours from the Denver metro area, you could be in more than ten nearby state parks, or take advantage of a longer term rental to enjoy camping and exploring new parts of our state. These Zipcars are a great way to bridge the gap between the bustle of the city and the call of our natural places.”

To answer the call of the wild, Zipcar members can simply look for a vehicle with “park pass” within the car name, or look for the pine tree icon next to the vehicle image when selecting their Zipcar.

“We know our members love the cities they live in, but also enjoy the freedom of being able to hit the open road and explore areas beyond city limits from time to time,” said Sherrill Kaplan, head of marketing and sales at Zipcar. “With 40 Zipcars now equipped with free park passes in Colorado, our members have an easy, hassle-free way to visit some of the most incredible state parks, giving them one more option to experience their surrounding natural areas.”

Colorado is one of eight locations in North America that have partnered with Zipcar to connect people to the outdoors. Coloradans live their lives outside, and now have an additional way to get out and explore the state.
