Chatfield State Park- First Day Hike: Scenic Nature Trail for All Ages and Abilities

Wednesday, January 01: 11:00 AM - 12:00 PM

Join a Chatfield Naturalist Volunteer for a scenic nature trail for all ages and abilities. Look for white tail deer and birds of prey as you slowly ascend to your final destination at the top of the Chatfield Dam. Enjoy tjhe views and the fresh air as you ring in the New Year with a provided warm cup of cocoa.

​Distance: 2 miles, Intensity: low, Trail type: Paved

Leashed dogs are welcome, Dress for the weather and bring water!

Meet the Plum Creek Nature Area Parking Lot. Access the park off of Titan Road, take a right towards the Chatfield Marina, and another immediate right. Follow the gravel road to the third parking lot at the very end.
