Outdoor Skills Weekend

Saturday, August 01: 8/1/2020 : 10:00 AM - 8/2/2020 : 2:00 PM

Come join us for lots of outdoor fun! New to the outdoors, or looking to learn a new hobby? This weekend is for you! We will have instructors teaching day hiking and backpacking basics, archery, fishing, rock climbing, and so much more! The event is free, but a valid parks pass is required. Evergreen Mountain Sports is joining us to teach you more about Mountain Biking. They will be hosting a tent to answer questions Saturday, and leading a ride on Sunday. Learn how to make smores using only the power of the sun, or stop by our Leave No Trace Table to see how you can make a difference in our natural areas. Don't know how to use a compass? We have a station for that! Most stations will be walk up-first come first serve. Fishing will be at Davis Ponds, while other stations will be scattered around the parking lots. Due to COVID-19, group sizes will be limited. Please wear a mask!
