About this Event

Have you attended our Level 1 beginner’s course and are ready to add more fundamental skills? If so, join our
BICP certified mountain bike instructor, "Ranger Rick", at the Limekiln trail to learn the basics of climbing and descending.
In the Beginner’s Level 2 course, you’ll learn:

-Seated climbing
-Standing climbing
-Crouched climbing
-How to restart on a climb
-Braking and dismounting safely on a climb
-Descending in control
-Braking and dismounting effectively on a descent

You will learn these skills at the Limekiln Trailhead parking lot to give you a safe surface to learn on prior to getting on
the dirt. We will then head over to a gentle grade trail to practice climbing and descending on the dirt. After the lesson, we head out onto our trails to hone your new skills!

This program is intended for novice riders and recommended for ages 14 and up.  Attendance of the Beginner’s Level 1 lesson is not mandatory, but highly recommended if you do not already possess those basic skills.

This program is weather and trail conditions permitting and is limited to 6 slots.
