About this Event

Join us as Roxborough volunteers explain the dramatic geology of the park.  

Associated with that general geology overview, we will also include more details about a specific local geologic and / or archaeological topic:
 

  • June 7:  Local Megafauna such as Mammoths and Giant Sloths
      

  • July 5: Local Dinosaurs of the Jurassic and Cretaceous
      

  • August 2: Indigenous Uses of the Dakota hogback
      

  • September 7:  Archaeology of the Park including some of our prehistoric artifacts

There will be hands-on activities of interest to the entire family! No registration required. Meet at the Visitor Center.
