Join us for Starlit Trails, a twilight adventure where the path meets the celestial. We’ll begin with a guided hike through the scenic landscape of Ridgway State Park before turning our focus toward the heavens as the stars emerge over the San Juan Mountains.
Under the crisp evening air, you’ll learn to navigate the Summer Triangle, trace the "Arc to Arcturus," and spot the steady glow of Mars. With binoculars in hand, you’ll even witness deep-space wonders like the Hercules Star Cluster. It’s the perfect, family-friendly evening to discover the wonders of the night sky!

What to Expect
We'll start with an accessible nature walk as the sun dips lower. Once the first stars appear, we'll shift our focus to the cosmos with expert guides leading the way.
- Binocular Basics: We will go over the proper use and adjustment of binoculars, ensuring everyone has a crisp, clear view of the horizon and the stars.
- Stargazing Gear: Don’t worry if you don’t have your own! We’ll provide binoculars to bring planets and star clusters into sharp focus.
- Guided Insight: Learn fascinating facts and stories about the universe from our knowledgeable program leaders.

Pro-Tip: For the best experience, we recommend wearing comfortable walking shoes and dressing in layers. A jacket is highly recommended as the evening air cools quickly. Feel free to bring your own binoculars and a water bottle!
