Congratulations to Colorado native and expert survivalist Brooke Benham Wright on her amazing success on Discovery's "Naked and Afraid." Brooke is also an avid Colorado hunter and conservationist who inspires others.

Outdoor Skills, Safety and Responsibility 

Women Afield is a Hunter Outreach Program dedicated to teaching women basic hunting, shooting sport, and angling skills in a comfortable environment. Woman Afield offers seminars and clinics designed to teach basic skills in the classroom, on the range, and on mentored hunts with plenty of “hands on” experience. 

Hunts Offered

Women may apply to participate in a mentored hunt taking place between May 1st and July 15th of each year, if they meet the following requirements:

  • Are a Colorado resident
  • Are 18 or older
  • Have little to no hunting experience

The Hunter Outreach Program offers special hunts for women, around Colorado.​ These free hunts are designed to recruit and encourage novices and their families to participate in hunting activities in Colorado.
