Colorado Parks and Wildlife Commission to meet November 13-14, 2025

Sterling, Colo — Next week, the Colorado Parks and Wildlife Commission (PWC) will convene for a hybrid meeting in Sterling. The meeting is scheduled to begin at 8:30 a.m. on Thursday, Nov. 13, and recess at 4 p.m. The commission will reconvene at 8:30 a.m. on Friday, Nov. 14, and adjourn at 11:35 a.m.

The commission will open for final consideration of regulations increasing the daily vehicle pass fees for Elkhead Reservoir, Pearl Lake, Stagecoach, and Steamboat Lake State Parks, pursuant to SB 23-059 Local Access Funding.
The commission will also open for final consideration of regulations including, but not limited to: Adjusting license fees and license agent commission rates according to the Denver- Aurora-Lakewood Consumer Price Index and increasing the backcountry search and rescue fee.
The commission will also open for final consideration of regulations regarding turkey hunting, including but not limited to, license areas, season dates, and manner of take provisions for the 2026 turkey hunting seasons.
The commission will also open for final review of regulatory changes to implement SB 25-053, including rules differentiating between wild bison as big game and domestic bison, the future regulated hunting of wild bison, and the payment of compensation for damage caused by wild bison.
The commission will also open for annual review of the entire Chapters W-0 and W-2, including but not limited to, game management unit boundary modifications, regulations relating to fish management, health, importation, prohibited species, and other annual changes. Additionally, annual changes to season dates, limited license areas and manner of take provisions
for deer, elk, pronghorn antelope, moose, bighorn sheep, mountain goat, mountain
lion, and bear, annual changes to limited license application and drawing processes.
