Biking Information

Biking is a wonderful way to stay active and take in the gorgeous scenery our state has to offer. Colorado's public lands include many miles of biking trails, and there's something for everyone. Whether you're strapping your helmet on in preparation for an intense workout, a big adventure, or a relaxed family ride, our state park routes are the way to go.

It is also easy to plan a custom ride using the Colorado Trail Explorer, COTREX, a trail map that aims to map every trail in the state of Colorado.

18 Hours of Fruita
Thursday, May 2

One of the most beloved endurance events on the western slope. With a fast and fun singletrack lap located within the “posh environs” of Highline Lake State Park, this is a great race to kick off the racing season. Beginning at midnight and racing for 18 hours straight, this local favorite event is a great way to kick off the summer racing season.

Bookcliff Campground will be closed Thursday, Friday, Saturday, and Sunday nights for the event. The Day Use Area on the east side of the park will also be closed Friday afternoon and Saturday.
