Safety and Preparation

Do not set out in extreme conditions without the materials you’ll need in case of getting lost or stranded! Contact park staff before your trip to ask about conditions and expected weather, and prepare for the worst! Consult a professional when purchasing or renting snowshoes and skis to make sure they are properly sized. Bring plenty of layers of clothes, navigation and communication tools, matches and extra provisions.

Remember that snowshoers must share the trail with skiers and vice versa.
