Saturday, June 3, 2023, 9am - 3pm

Memorial Park/Prospect Lake in Colorado Springs

Join us for activities including biking, kayaking, paddling SUP boards, fly fishing, spin fishing, archery, mapping, and shooting. There will also be a "touch a truck" area for kids to see and touch a variety of vehicles, such as those used by Colorado Parks and Wildlife.

The event is sponsored by Colorado Parks and Wildlife, the City of Colorado Springs, UCHealth, Scheels, Sportsmen for Community, Pikes Peak Outdoor Recreation Alliance, Peak Radar, and Pikes Peak Heritage Series. This event was attended by 5,000 people in previous years, many of which were families looking for fun adventures in the outdoors. This year we expect an even larger attendance!

The highlight of the event is handing out free fishing poles to the first 800 kids so come early!

The purpose of the event is to encourage our community to get outdoors and enjoy our many opportunities for recreation. This is a free event - businesses and organizations participate by providing an outdoor activity for attendees to enjoy.
