Eleven Mile State Park - Corral Cove

​​​​​​​​Mountain ManSummer provides a great opportunity to learn more about the outdoors and Eleven Mile State Park is proud to help lead the way in this effort.  For well over a decade, the park has provided interpretive programs for visitors of all ages.

The following is a typical weekly schedule of the outdoor education programs presented by Eleven Mile's Great Outdoors Colorado (GOCO)​ interpreters during the summer months:

Friday evenings:​Programs for audiences of all ages​
Saturday mornings:​Children's programs (youngsters)​
Saturday afternoons:​Junior Ranger Programs (7-12)​
Saturday evenings:​Guest Speakers/mixed age audience​
Sunday mornings:​Junior Ranger Award Ceremony​

The Junior Ranger Program is designed for children ages 7 to 12.  Those who complete the Eleven Mile State Park Junior Ranger Activity Book are invited to participate in the Junior Ranger Award Ceremony held every Sunday morning during the summer. At that time, successful participants will receive a Junior Ranger Badge and Certificate of Completion.

Cheyenne Mountain Zoo pretator-prey programTo support these programs, shop the Rocky Mountain Nature Association bookstore in the park office for books, maps, games, souvenirs and postcards. All proceeds benefit the park's future interpretive efforts.

The Coyote Ridge Self-Guided Nature Trail provides a great self-guided outdoor educational experience. Birders may wish to hike with the Bird List or Plant List for Eleven Mile and Spinney Mountain State Parks​. Scout troops in particular may wish to try the Orienteering Trail that will challenge their compass skills.​
