Rifleman Phillips Group Campground is located at an elevation of 8,800 feet. Summer temperatures can vary from a high of 80 degrees during the day to nighttime lows in the 40s. The campground is located in a 50-year-old stand of lodgepole pine and is restricted to tents only. The facilities include picnic tables, fire rings, and areas for dispersed camping. There is a hand pump well and a vault toilet. Electricity is not available. There is parking for 15 vehicles. No trailers allowed - other than 2 small supply trailers. There are two major trails leading from the campground. They will take you to interesting places such as Forgotten Valley, Dude's Fishing Hole, City Lights Ridge and Frazer Meadow. - Rifleman Phillips will be open from May through October, weather dependent.
