Six trails provide excellent recreation opportunities at the park.
Please stop by the park office for a map of groomed winter trails located on the North and South side of the lake.
On the North side of the park is the 1/4 mile Pinnacle Peak Trail, the 1/2 mile Pinnacle Loop Trail, the one mile Overlook Trail, and the one mile Lakeview Trail. The six mile Elk Run Trail runs along the South side of the park from the inlet to the dam. The 1/4 Tailwaters Trail is the primary access for the river below the dam.
The PLAT (Public Lands Access Trail) is a 3/4 mile out and back trail located off of the Elk Run Trail near the dam that switchbacks up Woodchuck Hill Mountain. It is closed January 1-March 31 for Winter Elk Habitat.
The Overlook, Lakeview, and Elk Run Trails offer excellent hiking, biking and equine opportunities in the summer and snowshoeing or cross country skiing in the winter.
