Not only is Stagecoach State Park a destination but it’s central to many other attractions. The park is located between the Routt National Forest and the White River National Forest, giving people an opportunity to enjoy huge expanses of pristine forests and mountain peaks with only a short drive.

The park also borders the Blacktail Mountain Wildlife Area, an elk calving ground in the winter. Tremendous hunting opportunities exist between Blacktail Mountain and the Sarvis Creek Wildlife Area downstream.

Steamboat Springs, home to world class skiing in the winter and a variety of festivals, rodeo’s and other events throughout the summer, is only 17miles away.

Oak Creek is approximately 6 miles from the park and offers shopping, grocery, hunting and fishing supplies, several restaurants and a gas station.

Yampa is approximately 12 miles south of the park and offers a variety of restaurants, a gas station, grocery and lodging. Yampa is also near access to the Flattops Wilderness Area.
