Spruce Cabin at Mueller

​​​​​​Waking to a high country morning in the comfort of a rustic cabin nestled in a forest of aspen trees can become reality with Colorado State Parks’ camper cabins.

Camper cabins offer a variety of accommodations, featuring wood-burning, propane or electric heat,​ and are available year-round.

The following parks offer a variety of cabins.​

  • Golden Gate Canyon State Park has five camper cabins and one guesthouse only an hour away from Denver, nestled between lush aspen groves and pine-​​covered hills. The cabins, located in Reverend's Ridge campground, sleep a maximum of six people. For more information, visit Golden Gate Canyon State Park.

  • Mueller State Park has three cabins. All cabins come with a gas fireplace in the living room and are heated with a forced-air furnace. The kitchens are furnished with a cooking stove/oven, microwave, refrigerator, dishwasher and cooking utensils. Towels and one set of linens per bed are provided. Additional replacement linens and towels will be provided for stays longer than five days. No pets or smoking allowed at the Mueller cabins.

    • Pine Cabin - This two bedroom, one bathroom cabin has a shower and a full kitchen. Both bedrooms have a queen-size bed. Pine Cabin has a covered deck with a gas cooking grill and patio furniture. This cabin is not wheelchair accessible. Maximum occupancy - 4 people.

    • Spruce Cabin - This three bedroom, one bathroom cabin has a shower and a full kitchen. Two bedrooms are located on the upper level and a third bedroom is located in the walkout basement. All bedrooms have a queen-size bed and a common room in the basement has a queen-size sofa sleeper. This cabin has an uncovered and a covered deck with a gas cooking grill and patio furniture and features a view of Pikes Peak. The upper level of this cabin is wheelchair accessible. Maximum occupancy - 6 people.

    • Ponderosa Cabin - This four bedroom, two bathroom cabin has showers and a full kitchen. All bedrooms have a queen-size bed and the living room has a queen-size sofa sleeper. Ponderosa Cabin has a large covered deck with a gas cooking grill and patio furniture and features a view of Pikes Peak. This cabin is wheelchair accessible. Maximum occupancy - 8 people.

  • Navajo State Park has three beautiful cabins, each with two bedrooms and furnished with modern appliances, showers and restrooms. The cabins, located in Navajo's oldest campground, overlook the reservoir. For more information, visit Navajo State Park.

  • State Forest State Park sprawls across 71,000 acres of mountainous terrain enhanced by six cabins available for use. The cabins range from smaller cabins that sleep a maximum of six, to the Old Camp Pennock Lodge and Columbine Lodge, which sleep up to 20 and 15, respectively. You’ll find wood outside your cabin, but you need to bring your own axe for splitting. Cabins 1, 2 and 3 have propane heaters. For more information, visit State Forest State Park.

  • Sylvan Lake State Park takes the roughness out of roughing it with eight small and one large cabin scattered among the trees of the spectacular state park. The cabins are equipped with a propane heater, and solar-powered hot showers are available from May through September at the camper services building.   • Vega State Park has five camper cabins nestled on the slopes of Grande Mesa and surrounded by lush vegetation. The cabins offer an excellent starting point for exploring the area’s canyons, cliffs and mountains. Visit Vega State Park for more information.
