St. Vrain First Day Hike 2018

Monday, January 01: 9:00 AM - 12:00 PM

Come enjoy the first day of 2018 with this nationwide First Day Hike of 2018 event! This family friendly hike provides views of Longs Peak and a great potential for wildlife spotting.

​Family-friendly one-mile nature hike around Pelican Pond. Mammals might include Red Fox, Mule Deer, White-Tail Deer, Coyotes, and Mink. Ducks will be seen if open water exists. Bald Eagles are even likely except in very poor conditions (but never guaranteed). Good views of Longs Peak. Friendly rangers and volunteers.

Meet at the Blue Heron Parking Lot.​ Please dress appropriately for weather, water, and sunscreen.

Pets must be kept under control, and on a leash.
