It's all in the title! Learn about the mining history of the Pikes Peak Region from the discovery of gold to Colorado becoming a state.

About this Event

We will talk through the 1858 discovery of gold in the Denver area which led to a mass migration to Colorado. Thus the beginning of the mining industry that helped lead to Colorado's statehood and is still active today. 

Meet in the Visitor Center auditorium.
