About the Grants

Off Highway Vehicle Grants

Off Highway Vehicle Grants are available for projects related to recreational use of Off-Highway Vehicles (OHVs) on lands open to the public.​​ Local, county, and state governments, federal agencies, special recreation districts, and non-profit organizations with ​management responsibilities over public lands may apply for and are eligible to receive non-motorized and motorized trail grants.

Eligible trail crew grant projects include: facility and trail maintenance, reconstruction, monitoring, signs, education, mapping, compliance checks, and more.

Eligible competitive grant projects include: construction, maintenance or restoration of motorized use trails, erosion control, equipment and supplies, signs, printed materials, trail planning, land acquisition or easements, education programs, funding for project employees or trail crew, and more.
