About Cameo Shooting and Education Complex
The Cameo Shooting and Education Complex (CSEC) provides some of Colorado’s finest shooting and archery ranges. CSEC is located a few miles east of Grand Junction Colorado, at exit 45 off of Interstate 70 and is open to the public.
Accessing the Complex
Take 1-70 to exit 45, turn north and follow signs to Cameo.

Long Range Precision
Tuesday, Thursday, Saturday & Sunday (unless closed for an event. Please check the Calendar of Events for range availability). Call the range office at (970) 464-1339 to make a reservation. Reservations on the LRP must be scheduled at least two days before desired date, but no more than one month in advance.
- Summer hours: 8:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m., March 15 to October 14
- Winter Hours: 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m., October 15 to March 14
Range hours may be modified as needed throughout the year.
CLOSED on Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve Day, Christmas Day, New Years Day. Closes early on New Years Eve at 2 p.m. Open on all other holidays.
Facilities
Comprising 2500+ acres, Cameo Shooting and Education Complex has a lot to offer visitors.
The Terrain Park encompasses an extensive collection of western terrain features covering 850 acres. The park also includes a Mountain Bike Biathlon Course. This facility is available for special events. There is currently a monthly PRS match held here, and other recent premier events include the National Rifle League Border War Match and the Hornady Precision Hunter Steel Challenge Match.
The Cameo Shooting and Education Complex offers two picnic pavilions, one near the public bays and one in the special use bays. Each can accommodate approximately 200 people, and feature benches, handicap accessibility, potable running water, outdoor grills, counter tops, lighting, and power! The range office is open for visitor check-in, and has a retail store that sells ear and eye protection, targets and ammunition.

Annual Passes are valid 365 days from purchase and include unlimited access during regular business hours to:
- 7 Public Firearm Bays (Bays 1-7)
- Archery Bay
- 3D Archery Courses
- Sporting Clays (Required to purchase clays)
- 25% Price Reduction of Clay Targets
- Two hour bench time at the Long Range Precision Course. Use requires pre-registration for bench time and is ONLY available during pre-scheduled public access days.
Access to any/all facilities may be limited when in use during permitted user group events or for maintenance.
