Women's Fly Fishing 101

Sunday, May 07: 9:00 AM - 1:00 PM

Are you a woman who is looking to learn to fly fish? Colorado Parks and Wildlife is joining forces with West Denver Trout Unlimited and Colorado Women Flyfishers to offer this women's only, Fly Fishing 101 clinic. This clinic will be held with primarily female instructors who will teach you the basics of fly fishing in a safe and welcoming environment. We will teach you how to set up your equipment, basic knots you'll need to know, how to cast, fly selection, and more. All the necessary equipment will be provided but you are welcome to bring your own rod/reel if you already have one. This event is being held on a private body of water and fishing licenses are not required for any participants regardless of age. Due to the potential danger inherent with wayward fly fishing casts we ask that all participants be at least 10 years old.

Audience: All Ages
