April 26th Session B: Novice Pheasant Hunting Clinic 101
The Novice Pheasant Hunter Program (NPHP) supports new hunters (adults and youth 12 years and older), with detailed pheasant hunting knowledge, practical field experience, and quality instruction on a trap range. Upon completing NPHP, hunters will have an understanding of common small game biology, hunting skills and hunting laws. Classes, clinics, and mentored hunts are subject to any State or local health orders.

April 26th Session B: Novice Pheasant Hunting Clinic 101
Participants must attend ALL of the following dates in order to participate in the mentored hunts during the 2025 season.
- April 16th: Zoom Based Webinar - Introduction to the Novice Pheasant Hunter program
- April 26th: Bird Conservancy of the Rockies - We will spend 4 hours covering basic trap shooting and field hunting skills at each session.
- August 23rd: 6060 Broadway, Denver CPW Denver Hunter Education Building In-Person Seminar at – Laws and Regs, Tips, Tactics, Pheasant Biology, where to hunt in Colorado.
- An OPTIONAL Pheasant Hunting 201 clinic will be offered on May 3 for those who attend the 101 clinic.
Failure to attend all required events will disqualify participants from attending mentored pheasant hunts and receiving special access to novice hunter walk-in access properties. There will be no recorded sessions or make-up sessions if you are not able to attend all elements of the program in person.
