Sun-Day (9 AM–12 PM): View the Sun safely through solar telescopes, explore fun science stations, and learn all about our closest star. Star Party (8:30–10:30 PM): After sunset, explore the night sky with telescopes and expert astronomers—see planets, constellations, and more! Where: Castlewood Canyon State Park Admission: Free with a Parks Pass, or if you have the KCW pass All ages welcome—bring your curiosity and dress for the weather! This is a Family Feud inspired game where players try to guess the most common survey responses collected from 134 national and state park rangers. Along the way players will learn about the diverse roles park rangers play and about the Seven Principles of Leave No Trace.

Lake Appreciation Day is a day of stewardship, environmental education, and connecting with the outdoors. It's about giving back to our reservoir by helping to keep it clean! During the morning of Lake Appreciation Day, volunteer to help pick up trash and during the afternoon celebrate with us by playing games and exploring educational booths set up by local organizations.
