Northwest Region Sportsperson's Caucus Meeting

Sportspersons from across Colorado Parks and Wildlife’s Northwest Region are invited to attend the next hybrid Sportsperson's Caucus meeting to discuss a variety of important issues involving hunting, fishing, and conservation on Tues., Feb. 18  at the Northwest Region Office in Grand Junction. 

Participants unable to attend in person can participate through Zoom. Anyone wishing to attend virtually must register using this link before the meeting. 

During the Northwest Region Sportspersons' Caucus, staff from CPW will provide important updates on hunting and fishing issues in the Northwest Region, including updates on Highline Lake at Highline Lake State Park. Attendees will also have the opportunity to ask questions on topics that concern them.

While CPW representatives will be present to answer questions outside of the presentation topics, agency officials emphasize that their role is to assist. The agenda and topics discussed are determined by the NW Region caucus delegates and input from the public.

“Today, more than ever, it’s important for our hunting and angling community to attend and share their feedback at the regional sportspersons caucus meetings,” said Northwest Regional Manager Travis Black. “Colorado Parks and Wildlife relies on the feedback we hear at the meeting to help give guidance in setting policies, regulations, and resource management. Your input on these topics is invaluable and we want to hear from you.”
