Hoary bat, NPS

About This Event

Highline Lake State Park is home to many amazing creatures including several species of bats. Come learn about how bats live, eat, and sleep on the Western Slope. We will learn ways to help at-risk bats in our state and play a game to learn about nesting bats in the park. We will finish by learning about Colorado's newest threat to bats: White-Nose Syndrome.

This program is free but a valid day pass or annual pass is required to enter the park. Free passes are available through the Mesa County Libraries as part of the “Check Out Colorado State Parks” backpacks.
