Discover the Universe at Castlewood Canyon! Star Party & Sun-Day | May 17 | 9 AM–12 PM & 8:30–10:30 PM Join us for a day (and night) of celestial fun! Sun-Day (9 AM–12 PM): View the Sun safely through solar telescopes, explore fun science stations, and learn all about our closest star. Star Party (8:30–10:30 PM): After sunset, explore the night sky with telescopes and expert astronomers—see planets, constellations, and more! Where: Castlewood Canyon State Park Admission: Free with a Parks Pass, or if you have the KCW pass All ages welcome—bring your curiosity and dress for the weather! We are celebrating #KidsToParksDay, are you? Join us for a Junior Ranger hike and work toward earning your badge. We will meet at the Day Use Restroom building above the Lakeview Swim Beach. Don't forget water, hiking shoes, and weather appropriate clothing.

Where else would we spend Highline Lake's 58th birthday but on the trails! Join us on a 4-mile guided hike through the park's history. Not able to attend? Stop in the Visitor Center and grab a map to take a self-guided hike through the park. The guided hike will meet at the Visitor Center.
