Have you ever wondered how humans gained inspiration for our massive dams? Well, leave it to beavers. These fuzzy four-legged creatures are nature’s engineers. From lodges to river-stopping dams, they build it all. Come learn about beavers and their construction marvels. You, too, can try your hand at building a dam. Meet in the Visitor Center, all ages welcome. This program is free but a valid day pass or annual pass is required to enter the park. Free passes are available through the Mesa County Libraries as part of the “Check Out Colorado State Parks” backpacks.

Upon completing NPHP, hunters will have an understanding of common small game biology, hunting skills and hunting laws. Classes, clinics, and mentored hunts are subject to any State or local health orders.
