LOMA, Colo. – Colorado Parks and Wildlife's Highline Lake State Park will be hosting the Kids Adventure Games starting Friday, June 3. This year’s event will feature a new high desert course, as well as skills clinics, mountain biking and swim course, family fun run, and more.

“We are excited to once again host this great event for kids,” said Park Manager, Alan Martinez. “This is a great opportunity for kids to learn new skills and get outdoors.”

All campsites have been reserved for the competition, so no camping is available on Friday or Saturday for the general public. In addition to the campsite closure, the east side of Highline Lake will be closed to the public and park visitors will not be able to access the swim beach, boat slips, or the picnic areas on the east side. The inlet will also be closed to boaters. This closure is to keep the kids that are racing safe.

The east side of the park will reopen on Sun., June 5 to all activities. CPW appreciates the public’s cooperation with this closure.
