SE Region Sportspersons' Meeting scheduled July 9, 6 p.m.

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. – Herd Management Plans highlight discussions at the Colorado Parks and Wildlife Southeast Region Sportspersons’ Meeting scheduled 6 p.m., July 9, at CPW’s Southeast region office.
Region Manager Frank McGee and CPW staff will outline the upcoming HMP effort related to the deer population. When completed, the plans will guide CPW strategy in managing deer populations in the Southeast Region.
“Public considerations are crucial to our processes,” said McGee. “It’s important that CPW’s ongoing efforts involve and inform hunters, anglers and all other outdoor enthusiasts about our work. We want to make sure questions and concerns are being answered and addressed.”
The event agenda includes a welcome, announcements, Sportspersons’ Roundtable changes, description of upcoming SE Region deer HMPs, an Aquatic update, a Beaver Workgroup update, a Furbearer workgroup update, and concludes with comments and questions. The meeting adjourns at 8 p.m.
