Archery Range

Archery at Barr Lake

Located just 20 minutes northeast of Denver, Barr Lake State Park Archery Range features a covered static firing line with 12 shooting lanes ranging from 10 to 80 yards, equipped with heavy-duty targets. It also includes a 3D archery course with realistic animal targets. Only field-tips and target-tips are permitted on the static and 3D ranges. Broadheads and crossbows are prohibited on these ranges.

A designated broadhead area is available for hunters prepping for the big-game season  and archers with disabilities using adaptive equipment (including crossbows). Users must bring their own appropriate targets in order to use this area.

The range is open from sunrise to sunset and free to use with a valid Colorado State Parks pass. Minors 16 and under must be supervised by a responsible adult at all times.

Accessing the Archery Range

From Denver
Take I-76 northeast, and take exit 22 to Bromley Lane. Go east to Piccadilly Road, then south to the park entrance.
From E-470
From E-470 exit 34, 120th Ave., go east to Tower Rd. Turn left onto Tower Rd and follow the pavement to Piccadilly Rd. Make a left on Piccadilly. The park entrance is about a mile ahead on the left.

Static Archery Range

12 shooting lanes with heavy-duty targets, ranging from 10 to 80 yards, give novice and advanced archers alike the opportunity to develop their skills.

10 shooting lanes with realistic 3D targets placed at various distances and elevations provide archers the opportunity to experience realistic hunting scenarios.
