Come enjoy the first day of 2018 with this nationwide First Day Hike of 2018 event! Check in for refreshments at the visitor center after the hike.

Beautiful view of the lakes of Lathrop State Park and Walsenburg Golf Course from the top of the Hogback rock formation that boundaries the north side of the park. The hike is approximately 1.5 hours, and cider, hot chocolate and goodies will be served at the Visitor Center after the hike. The trail is mostly natural dirt, gradual incline, and switchbacks with some stepping up some natural rock stairs toward the top.
