Description
From McPhee Reservoir dam downstream to Ferris Campground
The Dolores River below McPhee Dam is remote, hard to get to, and the tailwater trout fishery can “ebb and flow” upstream and downstream depending on the water supply.
Special Regulations
1. Fishing is by artificial flies and lures only.
2. All trout must be returned to the water immediately upon catch.
3. There is no bag or possession limit for channel catfish, largemouth bass, smallmouth bass, northern pike, walleye, green sunfish, bluegill, bullhead, yellow perch or crappie.

Be a Pain in the ANS!
If you use water, aquatic nuisance species (ANS) can affect you. For example, Zebra and quagga mussels clog up the infrastructure that delivers water to our homes. Keeping invasive species under control is a matter of public health.
