From FR 231 downstream to confluence with North Fork South Arkansas River.

The South Arkansas River offers an excellent stream fishing opportunity very close to the town of Salida, CO. This fishery boasts high densities of brown trout, brook trout, and rainbow trout, with some quality size fish, throughout this stretch. The river has several easy access points in the upper reaches making it friendly for a variety of anglers.
