Come out to our special Stargazing Night to get the rare chance of seeing the stars in the park!
About this Event
Come out to our special Stargazing Night to get the rare chance of seeing the stars in the park! Parking will be limited to our Middle Parking Lot. Entry is first come-first served. We will have the Denver Astronomical Society setting up telescopes for the public to view through! Bring your own foldable chairs and water. Feel free to bring your own telescopes!
Entry into the park for the event will be from 10pm-11pm. The park will close at regular time at 9pm, and gates will reopen for the event at 10pm. All visitors must be out of the park by 9pm and re-enter no earlier than 10pm. Red lights only at the evne, and be mindful of headlights as white lights disrupt our natural night vision.

Join our Leave No Trace team members at a monthly table talk featuring one or more of the 7 Principles of Outdoor Ethics! There are displays, games, activities and educational information available for visitors at the park.

Grab your bird book and binoculars and join us for bird watching adventures. These hikes are for all ability levels. Dress for changing weather conditions. Registration required and meeting location is at the Visitor Center patio.

Roxborough State Park
Roxborough puppets present short stories of wildlife: conservation, feeding behaviors, habitats, ecosystems and adaptations. Appropriate for ages 3-7, accompanied by an adult. All ages are welcome! Show lasts 10-15 minutes followed by a brief related activity, all in the auditorium inside the Visitor Center. The program repeats at 10:30am. No registration required.
