Come join us for an adventurous Full Moon night hike!
Event Info
About this Event
We will be exploring some of the trails in Cheyenne Mountain State Park and relying on our 5 senses to help us navigate at night. We will discuss how our eyes adjust to darkness, nocturnal animal adaptations, and the sights of the night sky while observing the Full Moon. The hike will conclude around 10:00PM to allow time for viewing celestial sights through telescopes in the parking area.
This program is open to all ages, but recommended for individuals 8+. Please plan to meet your guide at the Limekiln Trailhead near the trail kiosk/restroom building.
Please note: This program is free. Advanced registration and a valid park pass are required.
