About this Event
Today is Fresh Air Friday which means you can get into any Colorado state park for free. No park pass is needed. That means there is no excuse to stay inside!
Enjoy the fresh air on this 3 mile hike through the forest. This hike is moderate and includes a short section of steep decline. It's well worth it in order to see remnants of a homestead built in the early 1900s. You will see what is left of the cabin and livestock barns; as well as pictures of who used to live there and the layout of the entire homestead site. For safety all buildings will be viewed from the outside only.
We will hike at a pace that is comfortable for the entire group and take breaks throughout. Bring sturdy shoes, water and a snack.
