Learn techniques to help you depict what you see in the natural world, from delicate leaf veins to vibrant color!

Learn the art and science of sketching like a true botanist! We’ll cover the basics of botany and some scientific illustration techniques, then sketch one of the captivating plants growing right here at Golden Gate Canyon State Park.

We’ll meet at the Conference Room, in the park's main Visitor's Center, for a brief presentation. Then we’ll demonstrate techniques and make beautiful botanical art together. All materials will be provided, and no prior experience necessary!

Please arive a few minutes early, to get set up at an art station before the class begins.

A park pass is required for this event. If you do not have a pass, you can purchase one at the Visitor Center before the program starts..
