About this Event

Join us as Roxborough volunteers present the Geology of Stone tools. They will present the geology of stone tools as used by the pre-contact (pre-historic) peoples who lived and traveled through Roxborough State Park. Topics include example materials, like granite and chert, used to make stone and bone tools as well as various kinds of stone tools, such as arrow heads and the mano & metate, created using these materials. All ages are welcome and no preregistration is required. Located at the Visitor Center.
