About this Event

Celebrate the changing of the seasons with us as we learn about traditions and make candles together.

Come learn about the changing of the seasons, and the longest day of the year - the Summer Solstice. Cultures from around the world have marked this day each year, to track the coming of the harvest or as a rite of passage.

We’ll meet at the Amphitheater, in the park's Reverend's Ridge Campground, for a brief presentation on the Summer Solstice. Then we’ll get crafting! We will be making personalized candles, poured with your selection of dried flowers, to light tonight in celebration of the longest day of the year. All materials will be provided.

A park pass is required for this event. If you do not have a pass, you can purchase one at the Visitor Center before the program starts.
